1.

Book a consultation

You can book an initial consultation by calling our secretariat between 9:15am and 11:45am and between 12:30pm and 14:30pm Monday to Friday. You are also welcome to send us an email so we can call you.

In the secretariat, we are ready to help you with the practical preparation before the consultation. We will ask about your fertilityhistory, because it can help the doctor to know if you have had children before or if you previously have undergone fertility treatment.

Fee for no-show/cancellation less than 2 days before the consultation: 1000 DKK / 150 EUR

2.

Submit a copy of your medical records

If you have previously undergone fertility treatment, please send us a copy of your medical records. Contact the clinic in question and ask for a copy. In Denmark you can find your medical records from the public system at sundhed.dk If you have undergone IVF-treatment, please also send us a copy of the stimulation and egg charts.

3.

Requested blood tests / examinations

As a woman, you can contact your GP and have your metabolism (TSH + TPO) and hormones (LH + FSH – taken on cycle day 2, 3 or 4) tested. If you have test results that are more than 1 year old, we recommend you get new ones. You should also get tested for chlamydia.

4.

Semen sample

If the man’s sperm quality has not been analyzed before or if it has been a long time, we recommend booking an appointment for a semen analysis. The semen sample can be handed in 1-2 hours before the consultation and you will receive the results at the consultation.

5.

The consultation

At the initial consultation, we will  discuss your wishes and expectations for the treatment and advise you on which treatment is most beneficial for you.

An ultrasound scan of the uterus and ovaries is performed. At the initial consultation, it is not important where you are in your cycle. The doctor can also scan you even if you are menstruating.

The nurse will go through the different contract options with you and you can take the documents home with you to read and consider. If you need finansing we have a partnership with sundhedplus.dk and resursbank.dk – theese does require MitID.

At the consultation, a treatment plan will be drawn up and medication will be prescribed. There is a good guide to the different medications under My IVF-SYD.

The consultation is non-binding.

6.

Blood testing

All patients undergoing IVF treatment must be tested for HIV and Hepatitis B and C.

If you have previously had these blood tests, please bring a copy of the results with you. Your name, social security number/birthday, exact tests, laboratory and date of the blood test must be included in the results. The blood samples must be a maximum of two years old.

If you have not been tested before, we will take the blood tests at the initial consultation. We usually have an answer within a week. All test results must be negative.

7.

Start of treatment

You can choose when you want to start treatment. In most cases, you can start treatment immediately after the initial consultation.

You sign up for treatment on the first day of bleeding. This is the day when you have real bleeding from the morning, i.e. not spotting. Send us an email and we will update your treatment plan and make arrangements for the next ultrasound scan. We answer emails regularly and if you write on the weekend, we will reply as soon as possible and no later than Monday.
